SPLITTING SEAS: Navigating Our Purpose With Yaqeen

In a world that often leaves us overwhelmed, directionless, and pressured by societal expectations to follow paths that may not reflect our true calling, many young Muslims struggle to see their purpose clearly. At the same time, our Ummah carries unbearable wounds with the ongoing atrocities in Gaza, Sudan, and all over the world. These realities remind us that our purpose is not only personal but tied to the collective Ummah, calling us to strive for benefit beyond ourselves.

Our faith teaches us that certainty in Allah, or Yaqeen, is the compass that transforms fear into courage and obstacles into passageways. When Prophet Musa (A.S) stood trapped between Pharaoh’s army and the sea, he declared with conviction: “Indeed, my Lord is with me, and He will guide me.” In that moment, the impossible became a pathway.

Following the prophetic formula: seek what benefits you, rely on Allah, and never give up, we too can navigate our purpose with clarity, courage, and hope. Whether in career, service, or personal growth, our aim is to live with intention and to contribute to benefit the Ummah.

This year’s MIC youth retreat, “Splitting Seas: Navigating Our Purpose with Yaqeen” (January 31st), invites young Muslims to explore how faith anchors us, how yaqeen guides us, and how our purpose can become a source of brilliance and benefit in the world.

Join us for a weekend filled with engaging workshops, inspiring talks, and interactive activities! Together, we’ll discover that every sea can be crossed with Allah (SWT) as our Guide.
